Grandview’s Annual Fundraising Opportunity
Grandview Neighborhood raises funds year-round through grants, donations, and community fundraisers. While grants support specific projects, donations and fundraiser proceeds go into our General Fund to cover expenses grants cannot — including:
Winterfest • Halloween on Hazelwood • The Great Grandview Egg Hunt & Egg Race • Mama’s Group • Dad’s Group • Tawa Park • Little Free Libraries • Message Boards • and more.
The Gift Card Tree Raffle
Our largest fundraiser of the year is the Gift Card Tree Raffle at the Melrose Street Fair — now celebrating its 10th year! Last year, the raffle raised just over $2,000 for the neighborhood.
Each year, the Grandview Neighborhood Association Board and neighborhood volunteers collect donated gift cards from local businesses. In return, participating businesses receive promotion at the Grandview booth during the fair, on our website, and across our social media channels.
Once collected, the gift cards are divided between two Gift Card Trees and raffled off at the end of the fair.
About the Melrose Street Fair
The Melrose Street Fair is hosted by the Seventh Avenue Merchants Association (SAMA), whose mission is to strengthen connections among merchants and surrounding neighborhoods, celebrate the diverse heritage of the Melrose District, and support the growth of the local business community.
The annual event draws thousands of attendees from across the Valley and beyond for vendors, live entertainment, food, and a beer garden.

Shift 4: 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm 3 Volunteer needed
Shift 5: 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm – 3 Volunteer needed
Shift 6: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm – 3 Volunteers needed *stay and help with tear down, too!
Booth Tear-down: 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm – 1 Volunteer needed
