Grandview Fundraises at the annual Melrose Street Fair

Throughout the year, Grandview Neighborhood will raise money though grants, donations, and fundraisers. Donations and fundraisers funds go into the general fund and is used to cover expenses that support events such as: Winterfest, Halloween on Hazelwood, The Great Grandview Egg Hunt and Egg Race, Mama’s Group, Dad’s Group, Tawa Park, Little Free Libraries, message boards, etc, that grants cannot.

Grandview’s biggest fundraiser of the year is the Gift Card Tree Raffle at the annual Melrose Street Fair. This will be the 9th year for the Gift Card Tree with last year raising just over $2,000.

The Grandview Neighborhood Association Board, along with a team from the neighborhood, will ask local businesses to donate a gift card or two for the Gift Card Tree. In return, the business will be promoted at the Grandview tent at the Melrose Street Fair, the Grandview website and Grandview social media. Once collection of gift cards is complete, they are split between the two Gift Card Trees and raffled off at the end of the Melrose Street Fair.
