Crime Prevention Starts with Neighbors:
Two of the best ways to keep a community safe are busy streets and strong neighbor connections.
In Grandview, we build those connections through Front Yard Fridays. On the third Friday of each month, a neighbor hosts in their front yard from 6 - 9 pm. It’s casual - neighbors bring their own drinks and drop by as they can.
It’s an easy way to meet new faces, say hello and keep Grandview feeling safe and connected!
Hosting is simple@ The Grandview Neighborhood Association provides signs, promotion, and supplies. To host an upcoming Front Yard Friday, email: mygrandviewphx@gmail.com
Come hang out - your neighbors
can’t wait to see you!
Block Watch Grant
Grandview applies for the Block Watch Grant, through the City of Phoenix, each year, to enhance neighborhood safety. Funds have been used for items, including but not limited to: motion sensor lights, dog leash lights an benches, along with events such as Winterfest and Front Yard Fridays.
For safety resources for your home, reach out to the Grandview Neighborhood Association at mygrandviewphx@gmail.com
or be sure to come to any of the neighborhood events.
Benches
Grandview neighbors can get grant-funded benches for their front yards.
Have a Little Free Library? A bench to go with it could be a great fit!
Lights
Extra lighting - like motion-sensor lights, or lights for strollers and dog leashes - help prevent crime and boost safety. Thanks to the Block Watch Grant, Grandview has additional lighting available to Grandview neighbors at no cost to you.
Front Yard Friday
Front Yard Fridays are monthly from October through May, hosted by neighbors throughout Grandview. It’s a chance to gather, meet, and connect.
Want to host? The Block Watch Grant provides water, ice, chairs, tables and more to support.
